Tickets for rubles. You can buy tickets to most ballets, theaters and concerts in advance at the theater box office or at kiosks called Theater Box Offices (Teatralnaya kassa).
Theater Ticket Offices are most often located at the entrances of metros and on the sidewalks of St. Petersburg. You can also purchase tickets at the Central Ticket Office on Nevskiy Prospect, 42. To be sure of the best seats, however, try a tourist service or service bureau at the major hotels (in hard currency at much higher prices). You can also try buying tickets from "scalpers" at the door of the theater on the night of the performance. Negotiate and check the dates and location carefully. See our THEATER SEATING PLANS.
