Private stores stocking Western stationery goods have quickly filled the market in St. Petersburg. Existing state shops, usually called Kantselyarskie Tovary are opening "commercial" departments with a good selection of imported supplies. Good quality photocopy paper, both imported and domestic is also available. See PAPER and PHOTOCOPIER SALES, SERVICE & SUPPLIES. Note that it is difficult, but not impossible to buy American standard stationery supplies, especially 8 1/2 X 11 letterhead, but it can be cut to size.
