Many Russian publications are distributed by one firm called Rospechat, formerly the state monopoly SoyuzPechat.
Good selection of newspaper and magazines can be found at the kiosks in the following hotels: Astoria, Nevskiy Palace Hotel, Grand Hotel Europe.
Hundreds of kiosks (little temporary shops on the sidewalk, much like the newsstands in New York City) dot the city of St. Petersburg, selling newspaper and magazines. Sprawling "Kiosk Cities" often surround metro stations, squares and markets, see KIOSKS.
What is available: The International Herald Tribune, Wall Street Journal, Daily Express, Daily Mail, Die Welt, Financial Times, The Guardian, Le Monde, Sunday Times, The Times, The Economist, USA Today, Le Figaro and more.

Where: Many of these foreign newspapers are available in news shops, at the Grand Hotel Europe, Nevskij Palace, Pribaltiyskaya, Okhtinskaya, Astoria and other hotels. Some are available in newspaper kiosks on Nevskiy Prospect.
