The once low costs of regular long-distance and international calls provided by the "official phone company" are long gone and prices are now for the most part equal or exceed similar tariffs in Western countries. Prices are determined by zone.
Ordinary telephone company tariffs are lowest from homes and state-financed organizations. Ordered calls and offices are charged about twice the home rate.
